Project Overview
In contract manufacturing, supplier quality assurance runs on a system that hasn't meaningfully changed in decades: paper checklists, fragmented email chains, and manual data entry. The result is predictable. Skilled auditors, the most expensive people in the compliance chain were spending upwards of 40% of their working hours doing clerical work. Non-conformances were being logged, then lost. Resolution timelines had no enforcement mechanism. Historical supplier performance data didn't exist in any structured, queryable form. The system wasn't just inefficient. It was designed to fail quietly.
My role as PRODUCT DESIGNER
I led the end-to-end design of a centralized compliance platform that closed the loop on every broken handoff in that chain. The architecture had three non-negotiable requirements:
Field execution had to work on shop-floor tablets under real conditions. Gloved hands, poor lighting, time pressure, not on the idealized desktop environment most enterprise software is designed for.
scoring had to be automated and bias-free; human-entered scores on paper introduce exactly the kind of inconsistency that makes historical comparison impossible.
Non-conformance resolution needed an immutable audit trail, not email threads that disappear, but a closed system where corrective actions are defined, proof is uploaded, and nothing is marked resolved without verification.
What this replaced wasn't just a bad product. It replaced an entire category of operational dysfunction that most companies in the sector have accepted as the cost of doing business.

Highly skilled auditors were wasting up to 40% of their time acting as data-entry clerks, chasing emails and formatting reports. Without standardized data sets, tracking historical performance was impossible, and resolving non-conformances (NCs) became a black hole of untracked communication with zero verification.
My role as PRODUCT DESIGNER
I led the end-to-end product design of a centralized platform that fundamentally re-engineered the client-supplier workflow into a verifiable, closed-loop system.
Modular Master Templates: Architected a scalable form-building engine where complex, section-based audits are built once and deployed everywhere. Integrated an AI-driven option generator to eradicate setup friction.
Reality-Anchored Execution: Optimized the field interface specifically for shop-floor tablets. Integrated automated real-time scoring to remove human bias , alongside rich contextual text observations and instant photo validation.
Accountability Architecture: Replaced email-based tracking with a unified dashboard. The system automatically flags NCs, enabling clients to define corrective actions and suppliers to upload resolution proof within a single, immutable environment.
